I have the exact set up that you want with the smart controller. I love it. Controller has a great picture. It is easy to use even for my beginner skills. Good Luck and enjoy :)

I have the Air 2 with SC and I am 70 I personally am very happy with the controller. The screen is bright and clear and can be set as you like it. Which ever you get. Grats and welcome to the forum :)
