As mentioned above, if your drone has QuickTransfer, you do not need any remote controller to transfer photos and videos from the drone directly to your phone via the DJI Fly app. So the remote does not matter for that use case.

Judging by @Rishu ‘s post, is does not appear to be a fixable issue. it appears the drone does not provide a COM port by design, at least not without specific paid applications.

I am sure many, many pilots on this forum would absolutely survive without the map. But, it sure is nice to have. Instant constant Bird’s Eye view of the drone’s current location. Which can be useful for a variety cases.
