Yeah, just flew my Mavic 2 Enterprise dual using a DroneDeploy mission. Set it for 150 feet altitude and when it came back and landed, it was showing touching down at the same spot it took off from at -250 feet of altitude. So it's flying WAY too high.
I think I'm done with DJI products.
Have you ever noticed it at a lower altitude than it reports? So far it's always been higher than it reports on the screen for me. Sucks given the 400 foot rule and a potential violation because DJI can't get its act together, but at least I won't run into a tree trying to navigate the sliver...
I flew my Mavic 2 enterprise dual today from my cabin that's on a high spot to my neighbor's cabin about a mile away that is 300 foot downhill (so I can maintain line of sight). I launched to 100' above my cabin and maintained that altitude to his cabin (using Lichti) and then gave him a report...
I just flew a short Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual mission to check out a neighbor's cabin about a mile away to see if the snow had melted off his roof. I'm up on an elevated spot and his cabin is about 300 feet below mine and the ground slopes down to his place so when I fly the mission I can...
Actually I got that wrong. I have a Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual. I wish I had the M2EA.
I'm on the road but when I get back to the drone I'll see about some screenshots. But in the Pilot app in the upper right hand section is a little paint palette icon. Click that and then maybe one more icon...
I have several DroneDeploy 3d maps created around the hilly, tree covered area that I fly. I'd love to take the point cloud from this area and create a DSM to use in Litchi where I could set my waypoints to be X feet above the highest obstacle within Y feet using that data. I don't think...
Would be interested in this as well. I selected the palette icon and was able to set a low and high temp range, but even with 80F-190F set as the range, the trees of the forest still show up as yellow or red in the middle of winter in below freezing ambient temps. I'd like to figure out how to...
How do you limit the temp to living temp range? I noticed you had a little bit of "hot trees" at certain points in the video, is there a way to keep the trees from showing up like that?
I have little experience but I just launched my M2EA, hit the palette icon that brought up a low and high...
Greetings from DJI.
I am so sorry that the Mavic 3T drone cannot be turned on during charging, I am so sorry that I misunderstood the question before. This design is to clarify the preparations before take-off, ensure the safety of the flight, and prevent accidents caused by taking off with...
Thanks, I'll check out some of those docking stations. It's been awhile since I researched them so I appreciate it.
I'm still mulling over putting in a couple solenoids into an enclosure, so I could remotely connect/disconnect the cable (assuming the magnetic cable will work) and remotely turn...
Thanks to a forum member for taking this through the paces. Turns out this solution won't work. This is what a pilot here told me:
OK, this is what I've found out. The M3T would not power on when plugged into the charging cable. It would simply be in battery charging mode. I proceeded to...
I don't think it's "hunting." No more than bird watching is hunting or nature videography is hunting. But you're right it's important to keep on top of the laws and Alaska is very serious about hunting laws. This wouldn't count as hunting though. You can even use a helicopter to track a...
It's a great way to live, but it has its drawbacks for sure. I wish we would have embarked on this life decades ago when we were younger. No running water, no grid, and for us the nearest dirt road is a mile and a half away and a thousand feet below us. It took us a few years to acquire a...
One of the uses for the drone will be scanning trails for Brown Bears before we go on walks. Another will be spotting them on the property and perhaps using the loudspeaker to try to convince them to go elsewhere.
This one we've dubbed "Freddy" brought her large cubs with her a couple years...
