Altitude above sea level during flight

This is because GPS altitude is based on an ellipsoidal approximation of the earth's surface. As you have found it can differ 100s of meters from actual altitude and is not useful for the altitudes typically flown with drones.

    Virtual Litchi Mission

I have tried setting my key to "unrestricted" so that it can use any API. No change. I've tried looking at the developer console (gear icon). I don't see any errors. Is there something specific to look at? I also tried resetting VLM (ctrl-click). No change. Whether "Altitudes" or "Heading...

    Virtual Litchi Mission

I receive notifications for posts to this thread. Check the top of the page and see if it says "Watch" or "Unwatch". Mine says "Unwatch" which means I am watching (receiving updates for this thread). Google has changed their pricing model. I use a number of their services. They used to give...

Help needed to verify and fine tune a GSD Calculator

I can see you changed the sensor size to be the active area of the sensor as @Theta has provided. However, your calculated horizontal and vertical FOV differ from my calculations. I describe how to calculate them here: https://www.litchiutilities.com/docs/fov.php The point I was trying to...

    Is LAANC actually permitted here?

That is normal for a LAANC grid. There are always portions with a zero height restriction meaning that you cannot fly in that portion without a waiver (Part 107 only). That particular region is listed as "Naval CBC Port Hueneme":

    Litchi Hub Missions

Yes. Litchi has a new Mission Hub in Beta. They have added the option to export the mission as a DJI KMZ file. This file may be uploaded to a DJI Fly drone (that has waypoint support) so that you can fly the mission. The KMZ upload process is the same as it always has been -- a manual process.

Help needed to verify and fine tune a GSD Calculator

I have spent some time gathering sensor sizes for DJI drones for use in my own GSD calculator. While there is no definitive source, I have found several different values provided for sensor size: Nominal (this value is sometimes advertised as the sensor size) Actual (this value can be...

M3T - Pilot 2 for wind blades images with Waypoints

I can't help you if you do not provide factual information. First you said: Then you said: You must use my utilities for this to work. "An app from the web to convert..." doesn't tell me anything useful. What app from the web? A generic CSV to KML or KMZ converter is not going to produce...

M3T - Pilot 2 for wind blades images with Waypoints

Are you selecting the correct drone type in my Litchi to DJI converter?

M3T - Pilot 2 for wind blades images with Waypoints

Take Google Earth out of the equation. It plays no part in this process. A DJI KMZ file is different from a Google Earth KMZ file. DJI recklessly used Google's KMZ extension confusing some people. That will not work. You should be importing the KMZ file directly from my conversion program...

M3T - Pilot 2 for wind blades images with Waypoints

I am not familiar with Pilot 2 and its requirements. All of my testing has been done in DJI Flight Hub 2: And the import function: Don't confuse a DJI KMZ file with a Google Earth KMZ file. While they are both compressed archives, they contain different information. If you wish to...

M3T - Pilot 2 for wind blades images with Waypoints

I have a Litchi mission planner for wind turbine inspections. It can be used to create a flight path along each blade based on the geometry of the wind turbine. The resulting Litchi mission CSV file can be converted to a DJI KMZ file for the M3T. Litchi has the ability to take photos at given...

Help interpret latitude/longitude coordinates of DJI hyperlapse data

I'm replying to my own post. I figured out how to interpret those coordinates. DJI is storing the coordinates in radians, not degrees.
