I was flying near some cliffs and noticed ravens following my drone, checking out my every move. I noticed they have nests in the nearby cliffs. They stuck around after I left.
If your house is big enough, go for it. I hear you should be careful near walls, ceilings, coffee tables and etc due to the backwash making it hard to control. I don't know how to get around a Geo Zone warning.
You know I have had very similar height and distance issues but only on occasion. Just yesterday I thought to check the firmware on the batteries, and found that one of my three batteries had a different update. I updated it to match the controller and didn't have a distance issue after that...
New pilot, new drone here too. I noticed the same thing. I too notice that the drone height appears to be based on the take off point, and not where the drone is.
