I seem to recall there being something in the DJI documentation for MP stating that the vapor pressure off of a body of water can affect the sensors.
I'm in Hilton Head Island right now and doing some early morning flying - over the marshes, etc - all this makes me nervous...lol
From one noob to another...I think you're overthinking it...just start recording from the controller - don't do anything on your phone. The controller manages the process.

Thanks for the responses folks.
I figured the line of sight maxim was that if you could see the drone, theoretically you would still have RC.
But if you have RC, then how do maps figure in?
I'm still a noob with UAV flying (dronage) and have logged in maybe 10 hours. Up to this point, everything I read points to a flight rule of maintaining a line of direct sight for RC. But yet I have read stories about folks flying their drone over a mile away. Don't know about you but it's...
So, obviously if you're in an area where there's no cell signal, you have to download map data. I'm new to all this - I assume you open Maps in iPad and there's someway to dl, right?
Same with me. I hate the restrictions iOS places on users, but based on the many comments here about GO4 crashes under android OS, it just doesn't make sense otherwise. I use my iPad Mini 4 exclusively for dronage.
I have been wondering how to simulate a loss of signal situation - thanks for making the suggestion about turning off the remote - duh...I should have thought of that.
Cheers!

I have a question - I've noticed that some of your filter series have a combination of polarizing versus non-polarizing lenses.
It would seem to me that one might just use a polarizing lens for any lighting adjustment. Can you explain?
