    Drone shot at today!

That was unnecessary, and not something you could possibly know across thousands of deputies across the US. Shame on you.

5P has that crazy Air 3S RTH under trees, through buildings

Except I couldn't get it to fly back through a sliding glass door on return after taking off from the coffee table. Too narrow, I presume. it just stopped there and refused to go through on RTH.

US government abandons plan to blacklist Chinese-made drones

Well yes... my brilliant self predicted it 😁😁😁

What is your light set-up? Here's mine:

Thanks @BossBob. Interesting differences... Appears the CAA does not require prop protection for flying a mini over people, sparsely distributed. They FAA requires fully protected, enclosed props. Also different is it appears no class is authorized to fly over crowds. The FAA allows this, again...

    Drone shot at today!

.TXT file from the RC. If you used an N2 then it will be on your phone. The PhantomHelp site has the detailed instructions.

I so accuse!! Well okay, not for that purpose 😁

DJI getting lazier and lazier with manuals

A lot of features not covered in the manual any more. Camera in particular. Any documentation anyone knows about for all the shooting features, like the new custom pano? Or are we supposed to figure this out while in flight? It's not complicated or difficult... but I'm one that always feels...

5P has that crazy Air 3S RTH under trees, through buildings

I was quite impressed at how it duplicated on return the outbound path low to the ground through a corridor with the house on one side and trees/bushes on the other, maybe 10 feet wide. Then, of course, sliding under the patio roof and landing on the table was amazing. While all this working...

What is your light set-up? Here's mine:

US pilot here... Do the CAA and EASA rules allow sub 250g drones to fly over people without prop cages? Not allowed in the US. The Neo line are drones that are compliant with requirements for people overflight out of the box in the US. None of the minis are.

5P has that crazy Air 3S RTH under trees, through buildings

I agree, and won't be using it. I wanted to see if it was there, and was quite impressed seeing it work.

5P has that crazy Air 3S RTH under trees, through buildings

Wasn't obvious to me, but it worked when I tested it. Yes, the Mini 5P will follow a complex path during RTH that goes under tree canopies, through underground parking lots, all without GPS, just like the Air 3S. Did a simple test yesterday, took off from a table outside in a covered area, and...

Lost my other drone, my Mini 3 Pro

To state it directly, the sea rose up to your drone during to a large swell.

    The design keeps improving

My M5P just arrived yesterday, and due to social demands from that who shall always be obeyed (and worshipped, and deferred to, and praised, etc. 😁), I couldn't unbox until this morning. So, I'm just at the beginning of examining and setting this thing up. First thing I noticed immediately is...

How often do you use your gimbal cover?

As others, only off when flying. Comes off when unpacking gear before flight, goes back on when packing up. While the gimbal is not quite as delicate as some here seem to think, it is the most fragile part of the drone. There's a good reason DJI designs and includes the gimbal protector, and...

    Lost another drone

These are the sort of creeps that are giving the hobby a bad name. Trying to capture unique, epic video of waves breaking is hardly in the same category.
