What will DJI make next year? (Leaks)

Yeah that picture is stupid. I launched mine off an outdoor table into the lawn. Couldn't be safer. Lots of fun! I'm also very grateful to have grown up as part of the last generation not to be bubble-wrapped as kids. We had real playground equipment, diving boards at pools, and all sorts of...

What will DJI make next year? (Leaks)

https://www.mombrite.com/match-stick-rocket/ To vastly improve upon this tutorial, use about twice the length of foil on the matchstick, cover at least half the length of the matchstick. Place a straightened paperclip on one side of the matchstick, going all the way to the head. Wrap the...

    Reminder: Service your batteries!

Yes, bad idea. Lipos don't like to be stored over 50-60%. To protect the cells DJI batteries will self-discharge after 7-10 days down to 60%. That's where they should stay until you need them, at which point you need to charge them up to 100%. If unused for longer than 3-4 months the cells...

What will DJI make next year? (Leaks)

Some foil, wooden matchsticks, and a paperclip and you can entertain yourself for hours with tiny matchstick rockets 👍🏻

    Lost another drone

@jwilson, you have yet to describe any legally actionable damages, in which case you could not get a court to entertain your claim, and won't find an attorney willing to take your case. Failing to communicate when promised is not something that constitutes actionable damage under the law...

After December 23rd will online store still be able to sell existing inventory?

Probably. It just seems nonsensical that the Biden administration would serve Trump Jr.'s goals.

Can't change mini 3 pro propeller

To be clear, heat the tip of the screwdriver, and then place it in the head of the screw.

    Extremely low voltage warning

@jwilson I think you're making a huge mistake to fly over water, especially the ocean, with a suspicious battery. It could completely fail at any moment.

Do you tune up your drone?

The plugs should be re-gapped every 50 flights or you start to lose power, and the valves should be adjusted on a similar schedule or they get noisy. Also top off all the fluids before every flight.

    A FRIEND FEARFUL TO FLY

Discuss RTH with him and see if he understands it well. If you don't understand that in the worst possible case – The RC has some failure and permanently disconnects, the drone will come back and you will not lose it. With VERY high reliability. Then, go out and spend a session testing all the...

    MY NEIGHBOR GAVE UP

Pretty clear you don't see it. A few minutes on YT will cure that. I own a dozen or so of the cheapies. In anything other than dead still air, they are quite a challenge to fly. Especially the ones lacking all positioning sensing AND altitude hold.

Pile on and Tell Me Why I am Wrong

One of my favorite quotes comes to mind: "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds" (Ralph Waldo Emerson). Running a red light at rush hour can kill someone. Doing so at 3 am when there are no other cars as far as you can see in all directions is no risk at all. Same with drone...

    Reminder: Service your batteries!

As the new year approaches, just a friendly reminder to fully charge all your batteries that may not be getting regular use. You really should be doing this 3-4 times a year for any battery that rarely gets used. With availability of DJI equipment becoming difficult in the US, it's that much...
