    Battery Firmware Confusing

What has been said here by several people is correct. What's more, most of these people are have years of experience, so deserve some respect. DJI updates battery firmware occasionally, and when they do, each battery must be put in drone after the full drone firmware update to get the battery...

    The fire starter is quitting

The FCC has not issued a blanket ban on all non-US drones. As of 12/23/25, a security audit of DJI, as required by the NDAA passed by Congress and signed into law by the President, has not been completed. Therefore, also as specified in the NDAA, DJI (and others) have be added to the "covered...

    Lost another drone

Boy, I hope your stupid wife doesn't read the forum, or we may not be hearing from you again for a while 🤣 🤣 🤣

Recommended charger for mini 4 pro and all the accessories?

Search on Amazon... there are dozens of variations from several manufacturers.

    Night time strobe

Which simply mean you have to register it. So what.

Wish I had thought of this before

Simple: Because as @Meta4 and @MS Coast, I don't think it would have any impact at all in modifying the situation, and I'm not into wasting my time on performance art. In fact, I find virtue signaling quite annoying.

    The fire starter is quitting

I believe the NDAA, a law duly passed by Congress and signed by the POTUS gives them that authority.

    Merry Christmas to all!

Santa is giving me a Mini 5 Pro, but because of the global increase in population affecting all the homes he must visit, he won't get to my chimney until January 3rd. Love the image... want to know what the glowing module is mounted under the drones, though. 😁

Safer Skies Act signed into Law.

Don't give up yet, people. I'm optimistic this will work itself out, and DJI will be back on the shelves before the end of the Trump admin, maybe as soon as by the end of 2026. This looks to me like a negotiating tool for the Trump admin in the on-going economic battle with China. Trump has a...

Safer Skies Act signed into Law.

Looks like most didn't bother to follow the link and read the article. The centerpiece of the article is about the new authority for state and local officials to control drone incursions near mass attendee events like NFL games, etc. Unauthorized drones have been restricted near such events...

Well I guess it wasn’t just Skydio

No point in discussing if you think unions in China resemble those in the US in terms of political and bargaining power, which the above seems to indicate. Kind of like arguing that Maduro is the legitimate president of Venezuela, after all they had a public election, and Venezuela tallied him...

Antigravity A1 release date set for Dec 4th.

At this point with the current configuration and capabilities, it's a pass for me. That is certainly influenced by the upcoming release of the Avata 360, which looks to be far superior on several fronts. I will be getting one of those.

Should Authorities reconsider line of sight with 360 drones ?

I hope I haven't been misunderstood... I agree with you 100%. In fact I've argued here other times that VLOS requirements are unnecessary. I'd allow BVLOS flight with a little extra training as part of TRUST. The FAA doesn't agree with me at all however. I was trying to suss their reasons, and...

Labor as an issue is a rathole. You apparently aren't familiar with level of automation DJI has implemented in their factories. The human labor per unit is very, very low. While neither a major fan nor critic of unions, it is a fact that unions are slowing the adoption of greater efficiency in...

Why Would You Buy a Drone from Temu?

What was hard to fathom is how every single one of the 5 drones failed in some way, catastrophically so. I do love the rogue AI that seems to be flying the Orange whoop, in complete defiance of whatever control inputs were coming from the sticks 🤣
