Guess you dont own a boat. YOU put the numbers they tell you on your boat. If someone is not smart enough to know how to put registration numbers on their drone they most likely do not need to be flying one in my humble opinion

If you're flying as a hobbyist you do not register your serial number of the Drone. If you fly under part 107 you will have to register the crown with the serial number. That is here in the US.
