That's essentially what I use on my RC-N1 too. I did replace the strap with some plain black webbing I had of the right size though, as I didn't need to be advertising a business not related to me at all. I saw some photos taken of me using it and the branding stood out strongly.

Regarding the iOS hotspot, if a device is linked to it it will stay available. Otherwise it's worth going to the Mobile Hotspot page of the Settings app, which should force it to be available while that page is open.

One note of caution with goggles like the Orqa vs glasses like the BT-40. With both you really don't want to have to interact with the touchscreen much. The more functions you can tie to the controller buttons the better. e.g. The RC PRO has C1, C2, C3, the 5-way button, and the "back" button...
