it aligns the drones flight system to the magnetic north, not true north. Sometimes it needs to be re aligned due to a given locations interferences, such as metal around the area, maybe some magnetic interference etc., so the drones flight system needs to be 'refreshed' for one of the better...

one of the reasons for signal loss may be that you are in a 'high active signal' area that might be causing interference with your drone signal/s. These signals could be wifi, cellular etc.. High density suburban areas are good candidates for such interference.

if you are in manual mode, you can adjust 'on the fly' by changing settings such as shutter, ISO etc and see the results on your phono screen...so this should not happen.

so did you end up buying it? I am in Tucson as well, Oro Valley. Had my Mini for a couple of weeks now, but it's been pretty windy, as you probably know :) Still, it's all good fun.

I suppose it is OK then to just fly a drone in controlled airspace, close to other aircraft, be they commercial, military or private....I could go on.... It is really disheartening to read these kind of comments....
