I've done it on a moving boat. It was not that easy! My buddy was holding the drone to take off. I throttled up and told him to let go. It worked. Landing was tricky because I had to maintain the same speed as the boat for him to catch it. I did it twice, but I don't recommend it.
That's how mine was before. Not sure if you've ever flown your mavic in other countries. But every time I take it out of the country, it won't take off unless I calibrate the compass. This time, I flew it in Peru and went back to the US. A week or so later, I updated the software and it required...
Okay thanks everyone. Theres A good chance DJI will have to send it back to me. (I don't think it's repairable or atleast it would be cheaper to replace).. if they send it back I will upload the DAT files from the aircraft.
I had no idea it had internal storage for flight records outside of the...
Okay - I assume that will fall under pilot error from DJI's perspective. From what you guys can see, is there any possibility of software (since I had just updated it) or other defect that would have caused what happened?
I did initially move sideways after going up vertically but as soon as I noticed the mavic started to move on its own..I stopped and then it went all haywire. Is that what you are seeing?
I guess you can call it that? It's above a pool floor..? I calibrated it by picking it up mid air and turning it around..until I got the green lights. It flew just fine the first few 15 seconds or so
Seems to me like there was a gps issue.. maybe some kind of reflection bouncing off the buildings? But I still don't understand why the drone would start turning around and moving on its own. The speeds are insane 24 mph without input
