Just a couple thoughts... I fly my drone indoors for real estate photography in open concept house. Always use cage prop guards, always use dji app ( sometimes only the app in WiFi mode), always check to make sure your low battery setting is on land, and loss of connection is set to Hoover...
Splash drone was my first drone. I ended up buying two after my first one flew away it’s somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico. The second one is in the box because it’s to unpredictable to fly. Stick with the mavic pro. I’ve logged over 2000 hours of flight time without an issue.
That's awesome! Glad you got it back undamaged. That's one of my fav spots to fly, and I didn't see your post until today, was going to offer to jet ski to it, lol.
My experience with power lines.. I have some near my house and fly around them often, never had interference, but I did hit one once. From my angle of observation I thought I was above it, but the cable went between the front props and body. The MP did a flip in mid air, and was wobbly. I landed...
Yah, when I worked enforcement we loved narcs like you who thought every neighborhood kid was dealing. Feel welcome to bother the Feds all you want. They'll get tired of your fullishness.
Lol, I wonder how many copied DVD or illegally obtained movies he has on his computer, I wonder if he ever ran a red light or disobeyed a traffic law, and since we have all these outstanding forum members who choose to throw the first stone, I'm sure they never violated anything in their life...
Def iOS is the way to go for me. I've flown using my iPhone 7, iPad Pro, and iPad Air all running dji go4 app with no problems. Also used dji GS Pro on iPads with no issues
Wow, first off so sorry for your loss. I know your pain, losing a drone myself in the Gulf of Mexico.
Do you have the stats on the battery? # of uses, charges, etc. would be interesting to know.
Thanks for posting. Hopefully we can all learn something. Hope it turns up for you.
The expression on your face when the mavic takes off says it all, your having fun! I'm glad you posted this, inspired me to get out and do some night shots
I've been searching extensively for this elusive cable. Amazon, eBay, google, it seems they just don't make 90 degree lightning cables in the 1 ft size. Jumps from 4" to 3.3 ft.
