A bad cable will only disconnect your phone from the controller. Your controller would still have control of the AC and you wouldn't have gone RTH. For whatever reason, it seems your AC lost connection to the controller.

Is the font setting changeable in the app? Never seen a font like that on mine.

Upload to Youtube and set it to 'unlisted' if you or the person you want to share it with dont want it publicly available. Once it's uploaded, just send them a link.
