UPDATE
Hi again fellow Mavic Users. Received a new mavic today from DJI North America Support, after being told by them that they repaired the original one to send back.
All done took 1 month.
Will do testing soon and update the thread.
Cheers
All great info and input users!
thank you for that.
I've searched mavic pan shots, mavic panning shots, mavic cinematic videos etc etc on youtube. There's obviously lots of vids...a few titled "test"...regardless, I've sampled a "few" of them...I see flying sideways not necessarily panning...
That gimbal lock was not installed correctly in Gimbal 1 pic...I've seen a lot of users on other forums had it installed like that upon opening.
Pic 2 looks correct.

FWIW...the gimbal lock was placed correctly on the unit I got upon opening. No space between back of slot on gimbal lock and the lower aft arm on the gimbal. The slots in the rear of gimbal lock accept the back gimbal circular cover.

I guess strafing (poi) from a fair distance may lessen the noticiability of it..(there's variables) if your is exhibiting it...a lot of youtube vids of mavic/drone scenery/landscapes are mainly forward or reverse.

I've read that others recommend the Polar Pro ND filters for mavic. The cost is higher compared to Taco RC brand.
I can't say if the Multi -Coated Taco are better than the Non-MC...I get the science behind it but have not tried them.
I think it's better to be able to power on the mavic with...
I hear ya sosmaverick!...I picked up the Taco RC non-multi coated ND simply because it's the set I wanted and ordered.. UV through ND64 non multi coated were in stock, the MC were not, and I needed/wanted some for when the mavic arrived. I very read that some users say get the MC for the small...
Just to be clear...the 2nd vid in post #102 is from the P4P with same settings as 1st vid of mavic in #102( done just to compare straight edges during panning)...but when comparing mavic at 4K UHD to mavic at 2.7k at 30fps 1/60th shutter...the latter appears better.
All vids I've posted are...
I was thinking of trying at 1080, but haven't others had less than desirable results because of the recommended use of 1080 for FPV Devices?

-the 1st #102 video is mavic 2.7k 30fps 1/60th shutter nd8...
-the thread starter vid is mavic 4K UHD 30fps 1/60th shutter nd8
-the 2nd vid in post #102 is the p4p 2.7k 30fps 1/60th shutter nd8 (just to compare)
as some other posters suggested that 2.7k 30fps is best to use on the mavic...but...
mavic 2.7k 30fps 1/60th (f/2.2 fixed) shutter nd8 in 1080p repost
p4p 2.7k 30fps 1/60th f/5.6 shutter nd8 in 1080p
just a comparison of the straight edges...
i know 2 different machines
