Mini-2: First Major Control System Malfunction

About a month ago I updated my mini 2 firmware. (Delayed update. I always delay updates. So not the same as your update.) My ceiling was capped at 100'. It told my I had to be logged in. So I (ahem) logged out and logged back in. My custom DJI profile disappeared and I became random DJI user...

    Wind Map

It's an excellent app! But your really have to understand the quirks of the various computer forecast models and how to interprete them. There is an 'airports' layer that includes TAFs, NOTAMs and such. Very usable.

    Illegal Flight Over Stadium

This was likely a TFR. The notam would have classified it as "national defence airspace." The notam may have also included yummy wording such as, "intercept, detain, and interview." Also, how far away is the stadium from CVG?

    Getting FAA authorization very frustrating

For recreational flying, the better app is b4ufly. It's like aloft's little sibling. If you're in Class G, and the b4ufly app is giving you the okay, there's no need to "self announce" when sending up a drone.
