It sounds like flying drones may not be the hobby for you. Judging by the unfortunate events in the space of a week since you got it, I think this may be more than just a case of 'bad luck'. Drones don't normally just "fly out of control" for no reason. There is usually an element of pilot error...
My Mini 2 (CE version) can easily reach 4km one way in a wifi heavy, built up urban environment. Even still got great signal at that distance and only turn around due to battery. I think you got a dud drone.
I notice on the DJI forums you have started about 13 threads on this 'issue', why that many threads? It only needs one to get your message across. You just annoy people by starting so many all on the same topic you know.
Hopefully here you can restrain yourself to keep it to just the 1 thread.
Why post in the first place then. You are essentially contradicting yourself. If you are that anxious about the DJI response, why not wait till you receive that before seeking assistance/opinions here? Sheesh.
You made the right decision. Just flew 3 batteries on Fly App 1.2.4 (920) for Android and each flight was rock solid! No connection issues whatsoever. On one flight, I flew out in an urban environment over 2 miles on the 5.8Ghz band and the connection was absolutely perfect, I only turned round...
Absolutely right! In terms of UK Youtubers, I find 'Ian in London' to be the best by a long long way. He tells it as it is, no nonsense, only relevant and honest information with no clickbait whatsoever.
Pay no attention whatsoever to this particular Youtuber - he is well known for 'dramatising' things and using clickbait titles in an effort to garner more views on his channel. He is essentially full of BS.
It could well be that the gimbal coaxial cable is faulty and if this is the case, donig a sensor calibration will not solve the issue or stop the Downward Vision Sensor errors from occuring. I would suggest starting a ticket with DJI Support and send your drone in for analysis and diagnosis...
Mine had the same error despite never crashing - multiple Downward Vision Sensor errors appearing intermittently. Sent it in to DJI and they diagnosed a fauly gimbal coaxial cable. You are best off starting a ticket with DJI support to get your flight logs analysed and possibly sending the drone...
I was previously getting the same message on Android 10 - Fly 1.2.4, but my Mini 2 was also getting multiple Downward Vision Sensor errors intermittently (despite never crashing). Sent it back in and DJI replaced it with a new unit which has been great. Have not seen the ATTI error again in this...
