the Dade address looks like it could be a similar problem as the sandy one(its on the edge of B and mode C). although TedS post shows they have some goofy rules for wildlife areas. kadras/sar104....you are correct. apologies i am a newb. but trying to learn.

magenta line. mode c extends 30 nautical miles from the airport SkyVector: Flight Planning / Aeronautical Charts you can fly there. you just need to get clearance from the airport.

looks like you were in Class C mode C airspace.
