Helo all, Received the birthday present of a lifetime from my daughter and son-in-law; the Mini2. Simply awesome and I am now passionate about drone flying. Having said that, the restrictions upon flying are such that, there appear to be few places where it s actually legal to fly drones ...

I have owned my Mini2 for about 6 weeks, during which time I have watched countless tutorial and practised safely. However, despite the claimed max flying distance being 10km / 6miles I have found that the ax distance is really 2km / 1.25 miles before the red bars sink to one and the screen goes...

So the maximum altitude I am permitted to fly is 120 metres ie 400ft. However, was does this mean ? If I take off from my back garden and fly north, there are hills which rise up and, despite starting my flight at 30m / 100ft , I have to gain altitude to avoid trees. Indeed to maintain signal...
