Fess up- Have you broken the VLOS rule? (poll)

I think like a lot of people i have accidentally lost VLOS.. but rarely.. I keep eye on drone because I don't want to loose it.. I have been in 2 places where VLOS is not law and flew a Litchi missions that went out of sight but its not something I would deliberately do here in the UK.. most of...

Could you control a ground launched drone from a helicopter?

Theoretically if you were doing this would it not be safer to have drone pilot it the helicopter and drone launch from the ground? Reducing risk of damage to either.. I remember Mythbusters remote controlling a car from a helicopter so the transmission side must be ok..

UK Roof Inspections: how to comply?

I think is was said but if you fly a sub 500g Legacy drone, Mini 1/2 Air or parrot you can do it and "no intentional overflight of uninvolved people" along as no other restrictions apply.. there was a really good video on YouTube to explain it.. otherwise lots of involving people in the 50 m...

I know many of you in UK are saying that you can go fly because it is quiet and you won't see anyone.. and probably from Covid you are safe, even though you are likely going against local rules.. BUT it is when you slip and break something I get concerned as ambulance services we are on our...

    Oh nooooooo

For those looking of a "way round" the current UK restrictions, just remember your actions may cause our hobby to be seen in a bad way.. there are many other ways to enjoy.. possibly review the footage you already have, or plan new trips, or has been suggested if you have MM1/2 fly from home..

    A2 CofC Changes

My course provider gave me an example of a declaration and it could also be the same example that they give out for GVC that they also do.. mine was definitely A2 CofC.. does GVC not have a flight assessment?

    UK registration

https://www.dronegenuity.com/international-drone-laws-requirements/ Thats some stuff I found on different countries.. You will need to do your online test and registration to fly in UK.. I just found it easier to register when I went overseas with my drone.. the fine for getting it wrong...
