I just replaced the same plate about a month ago. It’s not bad at all to do yourself.

I’m real tempted, the snow is falling now with nice big flakes. I’d like to come up with some sort of 3D printed shroud or parka for the body and the motors to help repel any melted snowflakes causing chaos.

Since I'm not sure of the level of damage yet, if it turns out I need the plate I am definitely going to get the cable too. I'd hate to change the plate and get it all back together only to find out the ribbon is bad too. My luck is not good so Im not risking doing that to myself.

I managed to get mine apart and remount the "journal" thing that the arm goes into. The holes where the screws go are half broken off but after I got it all back together it feels pretty solid and the arm folds in and out like it should. I still want to get that part that @Thunderdrones sells...

I'm in the same boat with the right rear arm. Would the part mentioned in this thread for sale fix this?
