I have yet to have a negative experience with anyone. I've had a few come up worried about privacy, so I showed them what I see, the beautiful views from 200' up and how much fun it is to fly. If I was to make a guess, I'd say 10 people bought one shortly after the encounter. I did know that 3...
I have flown 390 miles and only use Litchi. Never had a single issue with it.
The problem was the ignoring of the signal issues.
If they used the Go App, it probably would have had the same issues, well except for the loss during a waypoint mission.
If you see issues when you take off, you need...
I just flew to 1,300' up from my takeoff point and it was totally legal. You guys are always assuming that someone if is trying to go to high altitudes and it's always going to be illegal or dangerous.
How about knocking off the immediate assumption of someone doing something against the rules?
I believe it did. But it also packed some into the air vents. She fell onto the other side of the fence, so it took a little while to get her out of it.
Landed perfectly flat. Now I'm just waiting for her to come back from DJI.
One last thing about mine. Here's how she landed, from about 60-70 feet up.
She flew fine for a week afterwards, then the gimbal wouldn't initialize anymore. Just kept overloading.
I got mine down!! I borrowed a really long extension tripod and added some conduit with a hook made from an aluminum rod. She fell flat as can be, into the deep snow. She's resting peacefully in a bag of rice.
Almost exactly where I am right now. I'm about 60' up and in someones yard. Can't reach it with a bucket truck and it's on a hill.
Not happy at all, haven't slept well since it got stuck up there on Monday during a Litchi programmed flight (I couldn't override the altitude)
I'm going to try to...
That's what I've found. I was trying to come back and was only getting 8mph. Came down to 100' and made it up to 20.
When all else fails, keep looking for a safe place to put her down.
