have you considered the cross stick command CSC ? which would have shut off the motors

Was there water vapor or mist around the drone? others have had issues with fog which is similar to mist. Also waterfalls often have a strong updraft so the drone can interpret the air resistance as being close to the ground? did you notice an updraft at these falls?

I put a bright yellow skin on my batteries and birds still fly aggressively toward it. I would say 70 % of the flights i do have at least one bird aggression encounter. most flights i do are over or near water.

I bought a single white strobe for my mavic pro 1. was going to mount it on the rear green light. Any problems with this idea? dont want to block the GPS module. Does anyone know where the GPS module is located inside the mavic 1

Check your flight records in the go4 app and replay your flight keeping a close eye on the altitude reading around the time the camera went crazy. If it dropped 4-10 feet then stable it was a bird strike. If no drop in altitude likely camera reset... This happened to me and i saw a 4 feet drop...
