How do you do that? Is it through the DJI Go app?

That sounds like a newer version than what I have. I was going to try downgrading first DJI Go (if possible) but maybe the new version fixed the problems?

What is the difference between flying it using the USB cable port on the upper left side of the RC, versus the USB cable port on the bottom of the RC? Is there a reason they provide both options?

When you refer to it adjusting from 1 bar to 3, is there a signal strength reader on the RC itself? Or do you just refer to the bars on the DJI Go app?

Yes, so I've always flown in the city and NEVER tested in an open space like the desert to see if it still loses signal after 0.5 miles... maybe I will try driving out to the plains and test it out.
