It was an option when I hooked the MP remote to my iPad mini, so I cleared the cache and data from my phone app and it is now there.
Next step: purchase some software to edit these images to look good.
Morning update:
We took the top of the body off and found that one of the four cables attached to the gimbal board wasn't seated properly. After seating it, we powered it up and the gimbal will now respond to the wheel on the controller.

Previously, the gimbal would constantly try to finish initilalization/POST and my wife and I replaced the cable.
Now, the gimbal will track correctly and the image is stable, but the left wheel no longer tilts the gimbal.
Before I tear it all back down and start smashing the ribbon...
I don't have an answer, only posting because my cable looks exactly like that and I am having the same symptoms.
I will order a new ribbon cable and try to replace it.
