I had the 10% discount at Apple too but drone nerds is tax free and when combined with 3.5% cash back from Rakuten it was a wash price wise. Let’s see if they actually ship today though. lol
Nope. My order was still at “processing” with an estimated delivery of 5/13-5/20 as of an hour ago so I cancelled and ordered from Drone Nerds instead. They claim to be shipping today.
I did the same as you and mine still hasn’t shipped. Says delivery 5/13 to 5/20. Not impressed. If it wasn’t for the 10% military discount I would cancel. ?
The energy grid is considered to be critical infrastructure. My guess is that if there’s even a remote chance that high resolution inspection photos are being shared with China then that would explain the ban for this specific use case, much like how the DoD banned them for sensitive operations.
The broken English and syntax makes the op sound like a DJI employee to me lol.
But seriously, they (DJI) never said this would be a folding P4P. It’s better than the MP1 so that’s good enough for me.
Not being able to use the full FOV does suck considering the Air and MP1 have it... but isn’t...
Honestly I think it would be like how many officers view speeding. Many will ignore you going between 5-9 over the speed limit. I don’t think the FAA or local police are going to go out hunting for VLOS violators. They’re only going to come down on someone who does something stupid and causes an...
Right but that document was written a while ago and the new law was just passed so it’s possible they will be forced to re-evaluate things. The drone hobby isn’t going to last long if people are stuck flying only 1000ft away. These companies have invested good money in better transmission...
The law says one thing but what really matters is how the FAA defines VLOS in the CFR (code of federal regulations) in relation to drones.
The old VLOS standard was written with model aircraft in mind which needed to maintain true visual line of sight because they didn’t have a camera streaming...
I had a claim in the first year and was dropped at renewal time. It was my only State Farm policy so I suspect this all depends on your relationship with them.
I went from an Air to the MPP because of flight time and connection stability. The Air gets great range out over flat land with no obstructions (like at the beach) but that’s not where I live or fly so occusync is the way to go for me.
