No they don't you can modify your own aircraft. It won't be certified, and it will be classified as experimental along with given limitations, but there is no regulation to stop you.

Doesnt DJI already offer a remote ID service called Aeroscope or something like that, where if that system is installed say at an airport, they can see the location of any DJI drones flying near by as well as where the pilot is?

I'm in the same boat. Whats a good resell value for OG MP, 3 batteries, DJI goggles, and a multi-battery charger with a few spare props? ( chargers 3 MP batteries at once, not one at a time like DJIs)

I've noticed that the Mavic Air 2, as well as some other DJI drones, removed the LCD display from the controller. Without this, is there still any form of telemetry if the video is lost? There have been times with my Mavic Pro 1, where I have lost video even when in LOS, just at a distance...

A big difference that seems to get overlooked is that the SKydio is a wifi drone. Mavic's Ocusync is far superior. I think if someone wants a drone to follow them a lot and do action shots, etc, the Skydio will be great, but just general-purpose flying a drone around to get some cool shots...

I think that's only the connection strength of the goggles with the mavic, not the controller.

Yep and it let me, so I bought refresh. Also, looking in the settings in DJI go 4, flight time is 00:00, so yeah, looks like a brand new drone. I had heard all these horror stories about DJI Support, but wow, this turned out awesome. 2 and a half week total turn around time, and a brand new...

So I sent my Mavic in for repairs after getting a gimbal overload error 4th of July weekend. I just a drone back today, however, this drone had all the stickers on it, looks very fresh and unblemished, then when I turned it on, I had to reactivate it, and also give the drone a name, as it did...

I just recently had a gimbal overload error as well, though I had to send my drone back to DJI for repair. Though before that they asked me to try re-calibrating the IMU, but that didn't help.

I got a quote back from DJI for repairs and saw this: What's that? My plastic gimbal cover was just fine...is there some new version? Version 3?

Anyone have experience with sending their Mavic back to DJI? The label they give you is UPS ground, is it possible to pay to upgrade it?
