    Battery Terminal Covers for planes

I have not had any trouble traveling with my Mavic in my carry on. Not even so much as a question or additional inspection from TSA.

    Close call with birds

I've heard rapidly ascending altitude could work to convince the birds to back off. Almost like they're thinking, "How did it do that? I don't want to mess with that thing anymore." Is there any truth to this? Has anyone tried it?

    Close call with birds

I've noticed that some birds don't exactly appreciate the presence of my Mavic. So far I've had one close call with birds dive bombing the Mavic while in flight. This resulted in me having to act quickly to bring it home and land to avoid them as they were getting too aggressive and there were...

    The Mavic Manpurse

Tested the case on a recent trip with several different stops and hotel stays. The case held up well while hiking with the Mavic as well. The trip included several different flights during which the Mavic was in my carry on bag. Fit perfectly in my backpack and the contents don't move around or...

ATTI mode mid flight - causing the Mavic to almost crash

For example, the spokesperson from the Mavic Tutorials is pointing the Mavic straight down in step #2 of the compass calibration. ...but doesn't the DJI GO app say to hold it sideways while calibrating in step #2? Maybe I'm wrong here...? Also, some say to hold it straight out while you "do...

ATTI mode mid flight - causing the Mavic to almost crash

I feel like there is a discrepancy between the instructions to calibrate the compass between the video tutorial, the user's here, and the instructions found in the app.

    Spooky Action at a Distance

Edit: TBE = Toilet Bowl Effect Also, what are the appropriate steps to notify DJI? Is there an official Email address? I have posted about this issue in the forums, but not sure if that is going to be good enough.

ATTI mode mid flight - causing the Mavic to almost crash

Thank you for your replies and recommendations guys. I plan to calibrate in an open field tomorrow afternoon and I'll post a more detailed reply then (Wednesday, November 23rd). However, this looks to be a bigger problem and other pilots are experiencing it too: Four separate pilots (in the...

ATTI mode mid flight - causing the Mavic to almost crash

:( This is news to me. So, other than the obvious mishap tonight, I am lucky to have not had any other mishaps after taking off from concrete?

ATTI mode mid flight - causing the Mavic to almost crash

Got it. Good plan. I will do this tomorrow and report back. So, no concrete take offs? Ever?

ATTI mode mid flight - causing the Mavic to almost crash

I'll have to give that a try and report back. Will calibrating the compass over a grassy surface lock in the calibration for good or will I need to calibrate it again often (even if an error doesn't exist - which it didn't before tonight's flight). What about taking off from concrete?

ATTI mode mid flight - causing the Mavic to almost crash

Concrete typically. But other times, just a gravel driveway or road. Yes, and I typically have to move far away from them for compass calibration to complete successfully. I've noticed even a small drain pipe cover in the ground can affect the results of the calibration. I also make sure to...
