    Wind?

I was down in Playa and felt exactly the same way, but got talked into flying by my buddy... Annnndddddd that's when I crashed for the first time... And again for the second time lol. Luckily the Mavic handled both crashes like a champ and other than a busted propeller and some palm tree colored...

Any1 try the aftermarket Gimbal Lock yet?

Yup, guess I was wrong. I've got my mavic with me on a trip to Whistler British Columbia... Hopefully nothing bad happens it until I can get home and find that darn clamp. Fingers crossed! :/ Sent from my iPhone using MavicPilots

Any1 try the aftermarket Gimbal Lock yet?

Shoot... I had no idea you were supposed to keep on using the gimbal lock!!!! I've been transporting and storing my mavic without the lock from day one (no problems so far but now you guys got me nervous). I thought I had read that constantly putting it on and off would be far worse for it than...

    Traveling by airlines and batteries

Totally agree with others, used to get hassled every time I traveled with my old bigger drone. The mavic is amazing as it just sits in my DJI shoulder bag and they always think it's just any old regular camera. Haven't had any issues whatsoever yet. I fly with three batteries regularly and...

Iphone users. Which app to record screen?

Without jailbreaking one of the only ways I know how to do it is to use something like Screwnflow or Camtasia with your computer connected to your iPhone. Problem is that your lightning port is taken by the controller, so I'm not sure how to get around that... Maybe there's a splitter you can...

Cool Mavic down before flying in the cold?

Flown plenty of times in the cold with no issues. I don't cool down the bird at all, I just fly right away and haven't had any issues. Just remember to keep the batteries warm as the one time I accidentally left the battery in my bag for 15 minutes in the cold I got a cold battery warning and...

    Mavic Pro in Cold Weather

Agree with many others... I've flown plenty of times down to about 0 degrees F with no problems with the bird except for one time where I had my spare battery sitting in the cold for 15 minutes before trying to fly (Warned me battery temp was too low; keep your batteries warm before hand and...

    Mavic Pro Fly away

Interestingly I did have my Mavic start increasing in height yesterday when I hit return to home. It did come back towards the area I had launched from and then suddenly started going up, up, up.... Luckily I was able to just cancle the return to home and then land manually. My RTH height was...

    Diappointed in Mavic

I would look into the airdog. I have a buddy who has one and he uses it to follow him as he carves canyons on his motorcycle and he absolutely LOVES it. From what I've seen, the airdog would be perfect for you as it follows well, is still foldable (although not quite as small), and is programmed...

Want to slow down pans...tripod mode or advanced settings?

Ahhhh gotcha... Yeah I'm not sure as I've only used it with iOS so maybe you don't have it yet. Sent from my iPhone using MavicPilots

    iPhone battery cold weather tips

Actually, I don't think you can charge an Apple device with the controller, only an Android phone. I had it mixed up... I was thinking that the remote would charge an iphone and not an android, but it's the opposite, ie. only charges androids. So you can plug an external battery source into...

    iPhone battery cold weather tips

Yes, I'm guessing that would work well.

Want to slow down pans...tripod mode or advanced settings?

Cinema mode seems to work pretty well for me. Have you tried that yet? Sent from my iPhone using MavicPilots

Delivered today, 11 days after placing the order

Right?!? Luckily it was a business write off for me. I was really hoping the shop was gonna have a few extra ones so I could've made a nice little profit by selling some extras on eBay. Unfortunately he only had two left, but at least the extra one did help make the trip worth it a little bit...

    iPhone battery cold weather tips

It's always the weak link for me too. The best option I've found is to plug it into a battery pack. With the Mavic and an iPhone, you should be able to use a battery pack to keep both the remote and the iPhone topped off. I just keep the battery pack in my pocket and I'm good to go. If you don't...
