Technically its illegal to flow over any ruins in Mexico. Having said that, it is possible if you are willing to risk it. I got about 30mins of fly-time over the ruins at Tulum about a month ago. I went super early in the morning, before sunrise and walked along the beach to the ruins...

hey team. here's some footage I got in Mexico. Managed to sneak about 30mins of flight time over the ruins at Tulum before being **** down by a security guard. Had to pay USD50 in bribes but it all worked out pretty well. Footage of the ruins starts around 1.38...

Hi All, Thought I'd update everyone on my experience flying in Yucatan Peninsula...in particular flying over historic sites / ruins which I've noticed a bit of conversation on. The short answer is that flying over historic sites / ruins is not allowed...it is however possible if you're willing...
