    Remote drifting

Ooh that's an interesting wrinkle. I wear a Samsung Gear S3 on my left wrist. It's a monster, and I don't know if this has any bearing, but it charges with an induction cradle -no direct charging connection. I'll try flying without it next time.

    Remote drifting

I'm having the same problem - slow clockwise auto-rotation. Always clockwise, which is suspicious to me if it's a dirty controller. I found that a quick flick left or right of the left stick stops it, leading me to think that the problem's in the controller rather than some drone setting or...

    MA odd behavior

IMU calibration worked for me. I was really worried that I'd have a flyaway with this issue. MY MA wouldn't hover with any stability. The first symptom of in-flight problems to come was in hover, when it yawed, slowly and always to the right. Then it would start drifting and accelerating...

    New Battery for Mavic Pro

Count yourself fortunate that you got the "IMPROVED" model of this battery. I read somewhere that the previous model provided only 45 seconds of flight time.

Mavic Air Master Airscrew Stealth Props Second Generation V2

Well I love(d) my V1s. I never experienced any motor errors and never adjusted the gain. At first I wasn't particularly impressed by the noise reduction until yesterday when I was flying low in a vast open field with absolutely no vegetation other than grass, and a notably fast-growing shrub...

There's no general threat using Google Assistant with Go 4 app. "DJI Drone could kill…"

No argument here. Wrong people often need to be right even in the face of annoying factual details. So, in that context, yes, you're right, but you aren't listening, and continue with each post to be more acerbic and presumptuous in your superiority, neither of which is necessary here. He was...

POLL: Have you powered on your Mavic with the gimbal lock attached?

Mine's an MA. A bit of opaque label stock or black tape on the gimbal lock to cover the lens would certainly cause me to not take off with the lock in place. Of course, seeing black after connecting to the controller would alarm me into reinstalling Go4, updating the firmware on everything...

    FT Aviator?

Wow! Thanks! I saw that there were a couple of TY videos about this thing but didn't look at them, only at the FT website. I did notice the two-handed joystick-like operation which made me a little suspicious. I had no idea that it was a controller-controller. That is indeed a deal breaker...

    FT Aviator?

Has anyone had any hands-on (or even first-hand observational) experience with the FT Aviator controller? It's projected to start shipping shortly, and the MSRP is discounted, I suspect only in the pre-order period. It looks really intriguing, and claims to be compatible with the entire Mavic...

HELP!!!!! LOCKED OUT OF DJI APP

Larry noted that the new version of Assistant 2 doesn't work with Mavic Air and a couple other models, so unless I misinterpreted something, he appears to be stuck with running the program from the command prompt, at least for now. With no intent to offend anyone or appear demeaning to folks...

HELP!!!!! LOCKED OUT OF DJI APP

Good point. Sorry I didn't include that. I didn't have to run as administrator so the thought didn't occur to me. Perhaps it's because I tested it all out on a Win 7 beater laptop, not 10.

HELP!!!!! LOCKED OUT OF DJI APP

To make things a bit simpler with this command prompt approach, you could create a batch file and save it to your desktop: 1) open Notepad 2) type (or copy/paste) the two lines of code above (modifying the path to correspond to your own app location if necessary). Retain the quotes. 3) Click...

    Thanks. I'll check that out.

Maybe Good to know before you register your drone..maybe

I have a question about UN-registering a UAS: what if I register my drone, then sell it to someone later to upgrade. Then the buyer gets busted for harassment or flying in restricted airspace or something. I've never seen anything which would allow me to remove my name and personal information...

    Newcomer from Colorado

From Parker, Colorado I send greetings. (Pick a greeting - lots available - and pretend I sent it.) I bought a P3S back in May from a friend and flew it trepidaciously (sp?) for a bit. That friend is a wilderness canoeist, who tried to take the phantom with him on back country canoe trips in a...
