Anyone Been Struck By The Blades?

    Yes. No big deal.

    It's this illegal?

Strangely, Edinburgh and Philadelphia are in entirely different countries.

Advice on Getting Rid of Accessories

I have a lot of extra bits from two Mavic Pro Fly More kits I don't use (chargers, charging hubs, car chargers, carry bags, USB adapters for the batteries). List them here? E-bay? ETA: If you want something PM me, please.

Drone scare near Las Vegas Strip prompts FAA investigation into likely safety violations

What is the lowest the tour helicopters are allowed to fly? And this drone he saw (at night!) with the Mark 1, Model 0 eyeball was 500 feet below him? ETA: Skyline Tours says 1000' feet over Las Vegas - which jibes with 14 CFR 91.119 - but helicopters can fly lower if it is a FAA pre-approved...

Why you shouldn't buy a Mavic 2 or any drone that relies on your phone.

Have you actually tried flying the drone with no phone? Start the drone, then start the controller (with no phone). Do you get the magnetic interference message on the controller LCD screen? If yes, it's not your phone. It's either (1) your environment (including something you might be...

Not sure I'd use the "absolute flop" of the GoPro Karma as a an example.

Why you shouldn't buy a Mavic 2 or any drone that relies on your phone.

I think that it's more like DJI is a Chinese company serving a worldwide use base. Chinese tech business / customer service culture isn't the same as (insert country of choice) tech business / customer service culture. And, of course, there's many companies that just avoid dealing with their...

Since you didn't spend any time trouble shooting, who knows?

It is amazing how on many people easily fly DJI products with out so much drama. Or use USB C cables.

Why you shouldn't buy a Mavic 2 or any drone that relies on your phone.

    1. The very point of USB C is that it is bidirectional and not subject to stress like micro USB. Have you stopped using your phone's charger? 2. I have used the DJI Go 4 (and the earlier DJI GO for the OSMO+) on Android 5.5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. DJI has updated the app constantly.

Why you shouldn't buy a Mavic 2 or any drone that relies on your phone.

First, buying a $1000 phone... I have two DJI Mavic Pros. I have flown them using a Nexus 6; a Nexus 7 tablet (dedicated unit); a BLU something-or-other (a Vivo XL I think); a Pixel 2 and Moto G4. All Android devices. I'm waiting on a $20 Huawei Sensa to use as a dedicated phone. A cheap...

One case to hold it all.

After laying everything out on a table, the Apache 4800 is too small. I think I need a case like a Pelican 1600 or the "Common Sense Case 5007".

One case to hold it all.

Two questions: 1. What's the foam like? Does it 'pluck' cleanly? Do the die-cuts line up? 2. Does it have that 'wonderful' Chinese aroma? I have bought HF stuff that smelled atrociously (wheel kits, hoses).
