Thanks. I think I'll go with the 8/16/32 kit for now then. Freewell filters are available here but strangly only for the Air 2. It's really weird, the Air 1 was discontinued only fairly recently and there's already hardly anything you can buy for it.

There's a small one under the top cover, you can't really see it. It probably turns on based on the measured temperature, so when it's cold out, it's less likely to turn on.
