Try a Ram mount . Stick on ball to a cheap tablet case and a small cell phone sized block mounted in the controller with another ball and arm. Then just tie a cord around one of the ball necks --- infinitely adjustable works awesome and very strong
I just bought 2 my thinking was a little more balanced not fighting different drag from one side to another. Also planning on mounting behind the arms instead of below and facing float towards the body. I think less likely to get tangled in the prop. Apparently they do not always release...
Hi I think you could probably reduce the size a fair bit, if it fills up with water the water itself ads nothing to the weight in the water in fact the Mavic itself will weigh less in the water than it does out of the water. Looks like a good way to go!
