Skellig Michael - the Star Wars island

I don't think it's about maintaining the beauty of the location tbh. I think it's just plain ol' greed where they want to control the rights of photography and videography for scenic sites. You can apply and pay a fee to record. Another part is safety too for the visitors of those locations.

Skellig Michael - the Star Wars island

It's illegal to fly a drone in Ireland around any of the national heritage sites: https://heritageireland.ie/visit/venue-hire/filming-and-photography/ Of which Skellig Michael is one of them (birds or no birds :))

    iPad Mini 6th gen?

When the iPad mini 6 was first released it was incompatible (I had an air2s at the time) for a while until a software update was released. Worked fine after that.

Mini 3 Ireland compilation part 1

Savage stuff. Tough weather at home this year to get any footage - fair play

DJI mini fell off on Cliff of Moher Ireland. Any idea how to lift it up?

Considering 13 people have died off those cliffs so far this year - I'd consider it lost.

    2 Pro Algarve Coastline 🇵🇹

Nice footage! I'm just back from the Algarve too but didn't fly my drone as I couldn't be bothered with this regulation: "Drones may not be used to capture images or video without permission from the National Aeronautical Authority." (source). I'm curious did you take this step and if so, how...

Travelling to Tenerife with M3 Classic

It was a while ago but I think it was €30 for the a1/a3 (my cert is called Remote Pilot Certificate of Competency so I assume that was the course name). The IAA use a system called MySRS (my safety regulation system) and it's via that where your certificate is issued: MySRS Pretty sure you do...

Travelling to Tenerife with M3 Classic

The a1/a3 was a lot simpler IMO. I completed it at home (as well as the a2) and there's no requirement for a webcam, you can even have reference materials at hand. The certification is more orientated to make sure people have read the restrictions as opposed to being able to pass the test...

Travelling to Tenerife with M3 Classic

We stayed just east of the south airport so not far from you. Everything was in my hand luggage and I'm based in Europe so have my A1/A2/A3, drone labelled, etc.

    Backpack for Air Travel

I've given up on finding the perfect bag and instead use different sizes of the LowePro GearUp creator boxes depending on which drone I'm bringing.
