    Flying indoors, still possible?

Since the last firmware update ( a few days ago ) every time I go to fly indoors it gives me the NFZ LIMIT warning on the remote. It comes on and off, cycling from NFZ LIMIT, to ATTI MODE, to GPS MODE. It's like it's getting bad data from GPS through windows or skylights occasionally. That, or...

ND filters : Freewell, Taco, Hensych ? I'm lost :(

The ones I got are these: Amazon.com : Polar Pro Filters DJI Mavic Filters-Cinema Series-Vivid Collection : Camera & Photo Couldn't find the same Vivid Series 3-pack on french Amazon, but they have them for the phantom, and the 6-pack (ND4,8,16 + the same with polarized) for the Mavic.

    Is this even legal?

Again, not their wording. They say: This isn't ambiguous at all. You can't fly a drone over any non-involved person who isn't in a stationary vehicle. I guess you're fine if you're flying over the cargo cars on a train, trailers on a semi, etc

    Is this even legal?

That's not the wording, though. It says you cannot fly over people unless they are in a stationary vehicle. This logically implies you cannot then fly over people who are in a moving vehicle (unless they're part of the drone operation, a-la a car chase scene for a movie or commercial). Of all...

    Recreational vs Commercial Airspace Question

The entire text of the special rule in this regard is I don't know what "within the programming" means exactly, but many interpretations I've read said this means only their members, or even only within their organization's own flying sites. Still, by any interpretation shouldn't a community...

    Which Android phones are stable

S7 Edge, no problems at all. Getting a GalaxyTab S2 soon for better screen size, and the system/software seems mostly the same.

    Recreational vs Commercial Airspace Question

This is fundamentally incorrect. Lemme break it down for you: Recreational Can fly in Class-G, At or Below 400ft, VLOS, Daytime - Anywhere not within 5mi of an airport or not inside an NFZ All of the above *including* within 5mi of an airport if you notify them in advance (this is pretty...

    Where can you fly?

Various locations can always limit your ability to fly from/take off from/land on their property, but they can't restrict the airspace above the buildings or structures on the property. Just fly from private property with permission, or from non-restricted public property. Where I live there's a...

    Is this even legal?

Everything I've read says it's ok to fly over *stationary* vehicles. I presume the intention is that they're not moving, so if you run into them it's not going to cause an accident. Pretty sure flying over a highway with traffic is not covered under allowed flight even with a Part 107. Per the...

    Filtered gimbal covers

You can always get the 'sun shade' cover too, where the center section is cut out. I got the one that's the same color as the Mavic plastic, but I couldn't notice any difference in the flights I've done with it so far. If you ever yaw really fast it comes into frame and gives you a weird dark...

    RTH or fly home?

I do all my flying manually, but takeoff I use the precision mode, and landing I'll fly within a few meters and just hit return to home and let it autoland. Sometimes when I'm doing really long shots and want a nice smooth line I will use tap to fly, too. I don't get this whole "Using advanced...

    Filtered gimbal covers

I flew with my gimbal cover on exactly two times, during my first couple test flights. I fly a lot over the ocean and get considerable glare from the dome, even in relatively low light. I got the PolarPro set of 4/PL, 8/PL, 16/PL filters and they're fantastic. Cuts down the glare immensely...
