You can fly a mini anywhere, especially in Canada, but you need a licence for anything heavier. Keep that in mind.

Flying in my backyard and in some places I might lose signal, but I usually just move myself for the backyard and pick it up again. RTH works well in longer range conditions but again, I might move a bit if that seems possible.

I dunno. My Mini 2 goes to 500 meters no problem, where there are not restrictions.
