    Why is this happening?

Are you using an encrypted browser like DuckDuckGo? I get the same problem with DuckDuck, I think its just preventing downloads to your computer without your permission.

D Log M (with Auto ISO) Superior to D Log

auto iso will give you nightmares in post, stick to manual everything. d log m adds compression to highlights and expands shadows so has the potential to produce a better finished job, but from personal experience, working with log in post is not easy. It takes quite a lot of skill, experience...

Bird Hazard deterrent placements on drone

Ive flow DJI drones since 2012 and never once been attacked by birds. I’ve seen vultures frequently, fly around in circles above the drone, I’ve had waterfowl zip past, a little close for comfort, I’ve seen hawks look on in curiosity, sea gulls flock around etc etc but never been attacked. If I...

Overexposure warning, Color assist and D-log question

I just saw a post on the DJI forum where they point out that Colorassist is only affecting the display on your controller, it has no effect on the clip you download to your computer. It's an effort to reduce the washed out look of D-Log while filming. I just use D-Log and the histogram to adjust...

Overexposure warning, Color assist and D-log question

I’m not familiar with colorassist. Does colorassist apply the D-log curve to each colour channel separately? D-log squeezes greater dynamic range out of the signal by pulling down the RHS of the histogram and pushing up the shadow area. But using this requires you to have a good transcoder in...

    Obstacle Avoidance Failed

I don't have the Air 2 (I have M2 Pro and M3 Classic) but the sensors don't detect small branches or fine wires.

Are you a Pilot or an Aviator?

In CANADA, in the early days of commercially available quad copters (2011), a distinction was made by the Regulator. Someone who flies a drone remotely is an Operator, as a distinction from a Pilot who is hands on sitting inside a ‘plane and flying it. As a pilot, I’ve always respected that...

    Buy now or wait

I’m not in the US but would suggest u treat it like any other business, if u are confident u have connections, clients, opportunities, the motivation & drive and have done your homework (all costs, subscriptions, insurance, travel, etc equals one years revenue) and your opportunities do not...

    Cheapest EU drone register country?

Operator license and drone registration are two different things. Drone registration in Canada is $10 Cdn but the license cost depend on whether yr basic or advanced plus if you've taken the flying test and it's definitely not free. If your not Canadian then its more complicated.

    Any ideas for Solar Eclipse

Remember if you are using the telephoto camera on the Mavic 3 Pro, you will have to track the movement otherwise the sun will move out of the frame. In the past I’ve used a 500mm lens on a tripod & it’s surprising how quickly the sun move through the frame. You need to get solar filter Mylar &...

    Eclipse

Why would you do this? whats the benefit of using a drone? Effectively, the sun & moon are at infinity so whether you photograph it from 0' alt or 400' alt, it will look the same. Plus if photography is your thing, then you're using an inferior camera to capture an amazing event. Use a full...

    Low visibility

A technique used by we folks who live in cold climates and spend a lot of time photographing outdoors on the coldest days of winter, is to put cameras and drones in plastic garbage bags before bringing them indoors. Then leave them unopened for an hour or so to let everything warm up. Result no...
