Any update on what happened when you went to Jordan?

Tried to save my Mavic after it hit a tree and panicked - blades cut the corner of my finger tip off. There was nothing to stitch. It was my fault - should have pulled the sticks down to disable before picking up. Finger grew back and I now have a lot more respect for the bite of the Mavic.

The MP hit a tree and fell to the ground upside down. When I picked it up, a blade cut the corner of the end of my finger off. No need for stitches - nothing to stitch. Fortunately, it grew back. I now have a lot of respect for the MP props.

I've used it. It's great - the perfect solution. DJI should include it instead of the plastic bubble.

There was a post from someone who had that same problem. It turns out he switched the Mavic on in his bedroom and RTH position was set in his house.

Ok. You've convinced me. I'm going on a holiday (which is why I bought the Mavic) and will set it to take Raw + JPEG so I have every option open to me.

I'm definitely not an expert, but perhaps there was sudden radio interference from an unknown source that caused loss of connection. You said loss of RC signal was the first symptom - all the other losses of satellite, compass, etc were maybe just showing as such at your end but not real. After...

I'm really happy with the Mavic photos. I take in 16:9. The JPEG looks a little better than raw for some reason. Here are 3 examples unprocessed.

Based on what I've read on this forum and my own tests, I have settled on 3840x2160 NTSC 30 frames. I find the 4k (4096x2160) compression inadequate - tree tops shimmer, panning is choppy, and the colour is darker - both of which I and my family find unpleasant. I don't want the 20th century 24...
