I have a theory: recreational UAV flyers have a 5 mile limitation in regards to flying near an airport. Part 107 commercial flyers can have more restrictions.
I now see that address appears within the airport boundaries according to the app B4youFly.
But a test with measuring a straight line distance in google maps shows that location as over 5 miles from the designated measuring point of the airport, which is the intersection of the two runways.
I...
What I find interesting is that the boundaries in the Airmap app don’t agree with that FAA map. Try this address as an example: 31 Reservoir Rd, West Hills NY. Airmap says that location has no restrictions but the FAA map does.
If you have a Part 107 commercial certificate, this map shows what heights they would approve for an exception such as within 5 miles of an airport.
If you are a hobbyist, this could be a useful guide.

Take overhead videos of the properties of your friends and family, with their permission of course. Give them each their own video so they can see the view from above. Don't post the videos publicly since that could reveal too much personal info.
I have such a permit. Flying is only allowed over the polo field and only when supervised by the Whitman Flyers club who don't accept members who fly drones.
I would like to focus the Mavic on a subject, then fly up while the camera automatically keeps itself aimed at the subject. So the subject would get smaller while the Mavic gets further away, but the subject should remain in the center of the camera's view.
This would require the gimbal to...
How would you fly around something like a race track and do it quickly?
It seems that if I wanted to quickly fly around a big circle or around a big square that it might be best to fly straight along one side of the route, let go the forward throttle so the Mavic stops at the end of that side...
Today I was flying in a school gym with a local flying club and permission of the school.
The good news:
The Mavic Pro collision avoidance worked amazingly well to stop the forward motion into the white wall at the far side of the gym. At a very slow forward speed, it stopped further forward...
Update: It appears Apple iMovie will play what the Mavic calls 30fps, and you can get iMovie to save the video in what Apple calls 30fps. Once iMovie saves it to Apple 30fps the movie can be played from the camera roll if you have a new enough Apple device.
The Mavic 30fps is actually more...
