that is eerily similiar to what i made up as well! but it tends to suddenly flip over if i let go of it and try to do something like calibrate the drone or get it ready to pack away.

on mine, after messing around with it,, it finally sort of offered to do a firmware update with a weird error messgae that said something like "firmware incompatable" i know i had none of the magnets mentioned above i think something happened when i tried to calibrate my imu the first time

i think mine is fixed,,, once it offered to do a firmware update,,(after i already did the updates) it works now.

guess it is my day for starting stupid threads i like using my ipad cause it is big and my eyes suck. so i have this big ipad mount thing that goes into the controller and i try to put a light weight laptop case shoulder sling on it and it works ok,,, but it tends to suddenly flip upside...

just did a short 5 minute flight, fan running the whole time. the bottom sure seems hot,,, how hot is it supposed to get? i mean, they are heat fins for the heat sink so i guess it is suppsed to be like that,, i just have'n't flown ina while and i don't remember it getting that hot.

well,,, it sure seems like i am,,, i do look at the pics and a couple times the app has flashed the calibration complete message but then it goes right back to the calibration pop up and the redundancy errer message keeps flashing.

i bought it i think less than 2 years ago,,,flew it a few times with no probs. lost interest, had a task i thought it could help with so got it back out. i had been recharging the batteries every 6 months or so,,, last real flight was last year, august. never got this message before...

i can't get rid of this,,, iv'e walked far away from everything, still says compass 1 is reading a strong magnetic something. but it's right by my house, i have flown here many times with no problem. i just uploaded last update, decide to calibrate imu and compass, imu didn't want to go...

anyone have any advice or tips. any mandatory uploads that have nasty surprises? i had made sure my batteries were at like 50% before storing them. they seemed to charge up just fine. my remote battery was at 2% hmm anyone ever done this before?
