Both removable drives do show up for about a half second then disappear. I guess I'll work on it some more. Thanks for your help anyway.

No, I'm doing it using the RC as described in a different video. When I tried it using the method you suggested I didn't see the dat file from the bird on the computer file system. I tried two different computers and three different USB cables.

I followed those instructions but when I got to the Advanced Settings screen the Enter Flight Mode option wasn't listed.

I'm new to the MP and want to download the dat files. I've view the videos on how to do it but when I go to the MC Setting/ Advanced setting I don't get a enter flight mode option. Is there something wrong with my controller or is it me?
