Just a quick update... I sent the Mavic back to DJI for repair. It was delivered to their repair center last Tuesday but I haven't received an update since. In fact, the online status doesn't even show it as received yet.

That's some really good info msinger! Seems like they could do a couple things to help with this... most importantly, allowing up stick to cancel the landing like in previous firmware. It also seems there should be some sort of safe guard that disables the VPS when your altitude is over a...

And maybe the bigger problem here is that I wasn't able to stop the auto-landing command. With previous firmware versions, you could cancel it with upward stick movement.

I don't believe water was the issue here. Doesn't the bottom-facing VPS system have a short vertical range? I was over 300 ft altitude when I attempted to lower the Mavic and it automatically when into auto-land.

Shouldn't stick up cancel the forced landing?

I'm having the same problem... I wasn't able to land until I turned off VPS. Full throttle down would start the auto-land even at 200ft. Anybody have a solution?

Had the same issue today while flying at 150ft. Full stick down and it tried to auto land. Happened anytime i used full stick down while bringing it back. I'll have to watch the VPS reading next time it happens.
