So glad to see this! I thought my controller had turned off, but I restarted it (I must have just woken it up) and it was still connected. Whew! I bet this is what happened.

I was 3 minutes into a flight (200', maybe 300 yards away) and my smart controller turned off. I was able to turn it back on and I still had connection, so I could keep flying, but it was disconcerting! Has anyone had this happen?
