    Mavic Pro 2

Same for me. Certainly we need to see 60fps in all recording modes without Moire/aliasing This is the single biggest let down for the Mavic. Try panning shots or Active Track at 24, 25, 30 FPS. It's quite rough especially in 1080 50p & 60p The camera is great but it certainly is limited due to...

    Proper ND filters and settings

I have been using the Polar Pro 3 x set ND4 ND8 ND16 for a couple of weeks. I film in 1080 60p mode and find the ND8 adjusts shutter appropriately for sunny blue sky as well as white cloudy days. I found the ND16 seemed to pull the dark areas of the image such as under trees down too far. I...

Does Mavic Shoot Video or Watercolor Paintings? Don’t settle. Get Involved!

HI, Just curious, where did your information come from regarding 1080p used for FPV ? I have read this in many forums but not sure how correct it is. I had a look at the data rate for 1080p and it is just as good as the Phantom 3? I will have another look at this though.

Yes, you are correct. I suppose it depends on what each of us is trying to achieve. If you are filming fast moving subjects or lots of pans then smoother (Fluid Like) motion will be a priority. if we are filming scenery and slow movement then higher resolution with lower frame rates will be...

Thats good to hear. I suppose so long as you are not trying to pan quickly or follow fast moving subjects then 4k 24p will look real nice.

Possibly Miss Focus and incorrect shutter Speed and cameras ability to deal with the contrast?

Hi, Great Video. What resolution and frame rate did you shoot the video ? Just watched it again and I think I can answer my own question. Let me guess, shot in 4K or 2.7K at 24, 25, or 30 FPS. You can see the motion blur on the fist shots with the medium speed pan. Let us know.

HI, Just watched this video and you are correct, "NO WATER COLOUR PAINTING" because it looks as though the video was shot 2.7k or 4k. It's really only the 1080 50p or 1080 60p resolutions the Mavic Struggles. Take a closer look at the video and you will notice there were no high speed pans or...

    ND filters are amazing!!!

Exactly Well said, ND filters are turning out to be a "Must Have" for the Mavic. I have experemented and proven this myself. May I ask, Do you still see occasional moire and Aliasing (shimmering around objects in 1080 50p or 60p) when recording on sunny days, blue sky.

Hi, I too agree with your comments. I have since bought the Polar Pro ND 4, 8, 16 filters. In normal daylight (blue sky) found that ND8 brings the Shutter speed back to around 100 to 160 which is where it should be while recording in PAL 1080 50P, remember, shutter speed needs to be double frame...
