Just overall which is better? Money, Camera ,Fun

This exactly is why I think this poll flawed, sorry OP. I fly exclusively with output in mind(video/photo) and fly the two DJI drones at either side of the price scale(Mini 2 and Mavic 3). Because I edit my work, price of the drone and the camera quality is almost a moot point. I expect a ton of...

    An expensive privacy lesson

I suppose my point was that in spite of flying in my neighborhood(I live in a very scenic river community) and flying in populated public spaces(I'm an architectural photographer, so..) I've never had a negative reaction. I didnt pay thousands of dollars for my drone equipment to fly solely in...

    An expensive privacy lesson

I 1000% agree. As much as I appreciate all the knowledge I've gleaned from mavicpilots.com, holy hell is it getting anxiety inducing. It seems 90% of the members here are walking around with some sort of Karen PTSD. Then I get out and actually fly a drone around my neighborhood, in my suburban...

    Goodby Battery #1

I dont know why that thought never crossed my mind, but thanks for unlocking a whole new dimension of drone anxiety. I think my $2k Mavic3 just got redesignated to office display shelf queen, LOL! Seriously though, curious how often that actually happens. There doesnt seem to be any fail safes...

Do you think this is a sensible flight, even if legal ( UK ), and do you think it is wise to publish it ? NOT mine, I won't fly in a town full stop ..

So, I ask you as someone who flies both a Mini 2 and a Mavic 3 and has created night videos over city centers(avoiding flying over people and cars, of course), would you/could you yield the same result as the video above with this MiniWhoop? I ask because I'm actually toying with the idea of...

    Embarrassing Mavic 3 Crash

Thanks, I'll be sure to follow up on my experience once resolved.

    Embarrassing Mavic 3 Crash

Yeah, I'd imagine you're right. I'm good with that assuming the repair quote is reasonable.

    Embarrassing Mavic 3 Crash

Not a bad idea. Especially given that I store it on a camera/drone shelf in my office opened up anyway.

    Embarrassing Mavic 3 Crash

Thanks for that Michael! Yeah, mercy would be nice, but either way is fine. Cost of doing business, I suppose.

    Embarrassing Mavic 3 Crash

Yeah, they just replaced my Mini 2 which given the amount of damage was the best outcome. Oddly enough though, they still itemized and quoted me for the parts "replaced". No complaints, just thought it was odd.

    Embarrassing Mavic 3 Crash

Unfreaking believable, LOL! So since the weather was finally halfway decent yesterday, I took the day of work to do nothing but fly drones. After burning thru 2 batteries on both the Mini and the Mavic 3 and getting a ton of river architecture vids, I sat down on a park bench and started...

Do you agree - Have you run into the haters?

In the 4yrs I've been flying- Never. The only response I've received while flying is either mild interest to positive curiosity. Which was honestly surprising given the horror stories I've seen here and on r/drones. I've managed to piss off alot folks on reddit drones by saying this, but I...

Mini 2 Foggy Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millenium Park, Chicago

Thanks, Dale! Nah, the security guy was nice about it. I was there primarily for handheld camera shots. Sending the drone up was only a 2nd thought, so I didnt even think about the permit thing. I'm there all the time, I'll see what getting a permit entails and maybe bring the Mavic 3 this...

Mini 2 Foggy Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millenium Park, Chicago

Mini 2 last Saturday 1/27 before security politely informed me I need a permit to fly in Millennium Park. The main mission was the Bean, but it was under construction.
