Great Ed and Yes I knew you were not the OP but read that you could agree with him. Yes we agree it's not a toy it's a very capable and sophisticated drone that is a blast to pilot. Cheers and here's to happy flying.
You can choose to either make this stupid simple that a child could fly OR control absolutely every aspect of this drone. Thus the name Mavic "Pro"
I would say that if you feel overwhelmed. Put this drone down for a while, go buy a toy drone get comfortable with the toy, then go back when you...
Sorry to hear this wasn't for you. If you get sucked into all the settings this can become both intimidating and overwhelming but consider this.
At its core you just need to focus on -
GPS locking for return to home, the RTH Hight, and then using the two joysticks to fly it. The Mavic won't...
Hi Robert,
Would love to connect up and show you the ropes feel free to either me at [email protected] or call me at 585-520-2232

Personally I think bigger is better for two reasons first if you're gone to be doing photos or videos the larger screen gives you that much better view into the world around you. Second if you want the brightest screen the iPadPro 9.7 has the brights display in the entire line up at 500 nits...

I've had two landings over the past few days with a high contrast landing pad by RcGeeks. The first time using RTH the Mavic came down was ready to land descended and missed the landing pad by a good 2 feet. Good news was when it came down it hovered and promoted me to complete.
Second flight...
You stated in this post Rochester, by chance do you mean Rochester, NY by chance? Those glasses look rather cool and appear to be a spin off of google glasses. Is that what they are, I thought goggle shuttered these a few years back?

That's an interesting way to travel with a Phantom 4 but what if you slip or fall. That drone would be toast. This exemplifies why the Mavic Pro is the perfect drone for portability. Just says. [emoji6]

With that kind of bouncing around I would think you are better off in a hard case that has individual sections for all parts. A soft pouch is only meant for casual carrying of you Mavic.

So I took my first full flight this afternoon with the 9.7" iPadPro which using the MacMount. I have to say that this being my second flight out, it's a pure joy to have such a large view screen! I found that I never felt I even needed to look at the Mavic Controller to see anything on the...
