Does anyone in summit county know of any restriction from flying over the Dillon Reservoir? I was just told by the dam security that I can't fly over the water. I'm planning on contacting Denver water (owners of the reservoir) to see what they have to say. There are absolutely no signs saying...

Haha good one Anthony. If I could absorb all the detailed information from the manual by flying in beginner mode I'd be set. However, the manual does have some very useful information about sensors, RC signal, etc. stuff that beginner mode would not discuss.

Good for you taztwr, this was probably the first manual which I read in whole. I am also new to the quad world so welcome as well. I live up in Bellingham, where abouts are you located?

Yesterday I called the tower at Bellingham International Airport to ask permission to fly within the 5 mile radius. They were very nice and familiar with the procedure. Total phone call lasted less than 2 minutes.

In the few times I've used them, they are extremely hard to remove from the gimbal. It felt like if I slipped I would rip the whole gimbal right off.

Correct, but ND filters can also be polarized too such as the PolarPro cinema series. So what are the advantages of having non polarized ND filters and having polarized ND filters?

Frustrating for sure. On the bright side, getting a new cable is an easy fix. You would think with all the technology they put into the MP, they could at least provide a reliable cord. I purchased the following lightning cord from Drone Valley for $11.95. Two flights with it and no problems...

I got the same set. I have very little knowledge about filters in general but If I'm not mistaken, the ND 8 and ND16 filters in this pack are NOT polarized.

How can you possibly be surprised that people would insure a vehicle...car, aircraft, unmanned, etc.? Crashing your UAV and being out ~$1000 would negatively affect your future flying

Wow what a beautiful weekend! I was able to go out flying Saturday afternoon at Sehome high school. The football and baseball fields were empty so nobody bothered my for the 2 hours I was there. Anyone else find any good flight locations over the weekend?
