Yes hard core litchi users will still use litchi but I think rest will shift to use oryginal program made by drone producer due to waranty in case something goes wrong. Also people have less trust in 3rd party programs then oryginal dji especially when you loose conection to your craft.

ofc numbers of users using litchi will drop dramatically, this is end days for litchi. I own litchi myself and the only reason to used is stability of dji go4.

Im not saying you would have to change whole leg, just use it to take original plastic pice and swapped to your mavic. It's looks like is just pushed in. Use small flat screwdriver and remove it from new leg and just pushed it back to your original mavic. If not there is 3 screws at the bottom...

Found completely new set of legs for mavic 2, with the motor,leds, cables and whole arms just for 36£ on ebay (2min of search) ebay parts

You should upload some pictures to see if there is any damge and what exactly happend. Normaly is quite easy to swapp gimbal withe the camera.

Had Phantom 4 pro obsydian. Sold after few flights with my mavic 2. Never looked back on phantom. Phantom is just old, outdated design from the time when drones used 3rd party camera and there was no another option to install it.

I'm using it, it has few protections like overcharge, overcurent, short etc. maybe one of the protections was initiated. I chrged my battery 4-5 times already. No issue there. Only mising cover on the battery plug at the end of each lead. All the pins are exposed easy to short.
