The problem here is not just the park. The National Park Service controls all National Monuments, Scenic Rivers etc and drone launching/landing is prohibited in almost all of them. If you do the research, the entire Colorado River from Lake Powell to almost Lake Havasu AZ is off limits to drones...
I have gotten in the habit of always downloading the KML files and looking at them in Google Earth prior to flying the mission to make sure I'm not missing anything. Not foolproof but it helps.
You probably used H265 encoding (must use for D-Log). Sierra will not decode these files. This encoding is also know as HEVC. You must upgrade to High Sierra or Mojave for them to work,
I'm curious if you ever found anything. I'm just starting to work with drone hyperlapses and finding that the stock stabilization in fcpx just doesn't work well with the type of motion you get in a drone.
It could be the SD card as well. It may not be fast enough to deliver the video in time. Try copying the files to the internal drive (hopefully an SSD drive).
I emailed them almost a month ago and have gotten no reply. The seem to have gone totally dark. I finally gave up and bought Litchi which works quite well on the M2P. I still wish Autopilot would release an update but not holding my breath.
Most recommend keeping a log and indicating PRIOR to the flight whether or not you are flying under hobby rules or 107 rules. There is no requirement to do so, but it’s a good practice to be able to defend yourself should something come up.
