Confirmed Phones/Tablets Compatible with DJI Fly

I've used this 8in tablet since 2018 with Go 4 for my Mavic Pro since 2018 with great success, but when I first tried installing the Fly app (1.4.2) in October I got the 'this device is not able to load this app' type pop-up. Now though through either dumb-luck or some change in the Fly app it...

Flying to islands 2-3 km from beach

I'm in southern Tasmania and I regularly fly my Mavic Pro out to an island ~1.5 - 2Km offshore from where I live. With tall trees on the shoreline (and on the island) I set the RTH height to 50m to clear them. Fortunately, prevailing winds here are usually onshore, which helps when returning the...

    Mini 2 or Mini SE

According to DJI (posted elsewhere) the Mini SE uses a Mini 2 shell fitted with Mavic Mini internals, so it's wind resistance is improved over the Mini. The SE also has the Mini 2 LiPo battery.

    BEST SCREEN FOR CONTROLLER

I've been using a Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus with my Mavic Pro for a couple of years. So far it's been very reliable with minimal lag, and no freezes or crashes. It has 3 GB ram, 16GB ROM and an SD card slot, GPS and a compass. Downsides are that while it has a very good screen, it does need shade for...

    Samsung TAB A 32 gb

Based on my experience using an earlier model Samsung Tab A 8 with Go4, the 2019 model might work...just. Removing or disabling some of the bloatware apps and disabling local video caching should improve the tab's performance, but you still might have some video lag.

Android Tablet Compatible w/ DJI Go 4

I went for this Sunnylife tablet holder. Sunnylife Foldable Extended Holder Remote Controller Smartphone Tablet Holder for DJI MAVIC PRO - DJI167 For the Lenovo I prefer to use it with the clamp horizontal, but it works fine vertically with the middle lugs flipped up, although the clamp covers...

    android tablet with HDMI out?

OK received the tablet and gave it a test with my Mavic Pro. The good: It fits into the RC arms (just) much like an Ipad Mini. Very little bloatware. No problems running Go 4, no drop outs or freezes. Very nice screen. (but see below.) Accurate GPS. The not so good: There's noticeable lag ~1-2...

    android tablet with HDMI out?

Teclast have released an 8in tablet with micro HDMI out. The specs look OK (for ~ $150), but I've had issues with phones/tabs with MT CPUs (but not the MT 8176). In any case I've ordered one, and if it's any good running Go 4 I'll post here. Teclast M89 - TechTablets

    Samsung tablet, mavic pro

This suggestion from DJI forums for someone with the same problem. "Turn on Controller while connected to Tablet. Start (or restart) the tablet. Click on OK when the USB request comes up. Wait for BLUE "Enter Device" tab shows up. (Should be immediate as the app starts). Turn on copter. " Also...

Android Tablet Compatible w/ DJI Go 4

I've been using a Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus (AKA P8) for nearly a year with no issues running Go 4. Specs: Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus - Full tablet specifications Nice screen, 3GB Ram, 2GHz CPU and not too much proprietary bloatware. Only downsides are Android 6, too wide to fit in RC arms so needs a tablet...
